Chicago Universal Air Hose CouplingUniversal Hose couplings, also known as “Chicago Couplings” or “Air King” series couplings, feature a simple quarter turn to connect. These couplings are commonly installed on air hose assemblies that connect pneumatic tools to their compressed air source. Firmly pressing one coupler to another and twisting seals the connection. Safety clips prevent accidental disconnection during use. Universal couplings are a convenient quick connect system to mate varying diameters of hose, as all sizes up to 1 inch interchange with one another. Sizes over 1 inch have a four-lug coupling head which interchanges with all other sizes utilizing the four-lug design.  Universal couplings do not interchange with sandblast, Minsup, or European style couplings of similar style. Lubricate the gasket for easier connection.

Always use safety clips to prevent accidental disconnection. One clip is provided with each coupling. Locking clips are also available.

The pressure rating for all Chicago type couplings is 150 PSI, for compressed air or water service only.

A locking version is available in select styles and sizes

Under no circumstance should any product in this series be used in steam service applications!
