Internal Expansion Hose Couplings Offer Full Flow Internally Expansion Couplings allow full flow through a hose assembly, decreasing restriction & build-up of material around the coupling shank. A strong permanent connection to the hose, expansion couplings are ideally suited for thick materials such as slurries, mud, hot tar, plaster, and concrete.

This coupling type can handle higher working pressures and offer longer service life than many other coupling styles. Internally Expanded couplings are not field repairable and require special equipment for installation. The Coupling body is pressed from the inside out, trapping the hose between the ferrule and the expanded hose stem. Each hose coupling has a lip around it that matches with the top of the ferrule to lock the coupling into place. Standard expansion products include Male NPT hose end, Grooved hose end, and California Raised (HD style) hose end.
