Composite Hose Assemblies offer a durable and customizable hose construction designed high flexibility and longevity in challenging applications. Composite hose incorporates an exposed inner and outer helical wire with specially formulated plies of film and fabric layered in between. This unique hose construction allows for external abrasion resistance in applications where the hose assembly is often dragged, as well as resistance to kinking and vibration. Composite hose is beneficial in petroleum and chemical bulk unloading applications including ship-to-shore, vapor recover, and rail / tank transfer.
Wire reinforcement options include stainless, galvanized or polypropylene-coated steel wire (inner and outer wires can be of different materials for cost savings on internally-only or externally-only corrosive applications)
Also available with highly chemical resistant Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tube
Composite Hose is offered in prefabricated assemblies only – due to the special nature of the hose tube and cover, standard hose couplings are not compatible.
